have a yummy day!

Hi all!
What a great weekend! I have been to the craft show at Lincolnshire showground, to Doddington Hall and just been relaxing!
i ahve a sore throat though so looks like a cold is coming.
i ahve bought a melting pot-have had my eye on one for ages and at £26 I couldn't resist! I have to buy the kit to go with it so I can actually use it but that will come later!! So look forward to some fancy embellishments!
Another milestone this weekend-my wee boy counted to ten!! At 21 months I think he's doing well!He also jumped into the pool by himself tonight!!
Anyway onto the card!
I have made this based on the sketch at cas-solours and sketches. I love pink and just got these velvet embossed ribbons from create and craft so had to make a pinkish card.
I have embossed a piece of white card with my dots folder. Then added the ribbon. I stamped a cupcake using a Docrafts stamp set I got ages ago.
I coloured with pro markers and added Anitas 3D gloss to the cherry.
I have stuck Martha Stewart stars to the cupcake and decorated some of the dots with them too!

The penants are made from some paper from my stash which I won from Rebecca at mellymoo. I used a mask from Crafts Beautiful magazine I got this week. It has loads of masks/templates in thsi week-really good ones too!
the sentiment is from a Daisy and dandelion set from Docrafts which I have had for ages too.

Hope you like it and also have a yummy day!

happy engagement

Hi everyone!!
Its a horrible wet and windy Friday in Lincolnshire but hoping for a good bank holiday weekend!!
We are going to a friends barbecue on sunday (after the Sincerely yours show at the showground!). the barbecue is to celebrate their engagement so I made the following card:
It is based on the sketch at freshly made sketches
the stamp is a Fizzy Moon one from The Range.
I coloured using pro markers and added some glitter glue to the champagne bubbles.

I added some candi and a bit of silver glitter glue to the engagement ring on the background paper.
The paper is from my stash and the green card from lidl.

The congratulations stamp is from a freebie set from a magazine. I added some green dew drop ink to the edges of the two stamped pieces. Hope you like it-and hope the happy couple do too!

christmas goodies

Hi everyone!
Hope this finds you all well!
I am posting late tonight-we had a really busy weekend-my mum was here from Northern Ireland and we both went to my craft club on saturday. She really loved it and it was lovely she could meet my fellow craft geeks (my partners name for me and us crafters!). Everyone made her feel very welcome and she is now even more into crafting!!
We also went for a lovely walk at Hartsholme country parka nd I have attached a photo of squirrel eating a nut! I got sooo close I could have touched him! Shame he's not a red one but he's still cute.
I am still on the Christmas theme especially as I have a growing pile of other cards and could do with getting rid of some instead of making loads more!

This card is made with a die cut gingerbread amn mounted onto red and green card. I think the die is sizzix
I ahve stamped a sweet from a freebie selection from a magazine from last year onto stripey paper from my stash. I also used the stripey paper as a background behind his heart buttons and to stamp a candy cane. The candy cane stamp is from my My Minds Eye set.
I have scraped the edge of the red to add 'interest' and drew a black border. I stamped in green the sentiment and also the gloves and shoes of the snowman.

I also thought he needed a dickie bow to cheer him up a bit!!
I have added this photo taken in better light-I have also added some Anitas 3D gloss on the sweet wrappers and candy stick.

red and white christmas

Hi all!! It's christmas time again!!
I have my mum here this weekend and we're going to my craft club tomorrow too!! My little boy has been ill all week and there has been a severe lack of sleep! not sure I know how I survived those first few months feeling like this all the time though!!
I used a white cardstock and embossed some lines down and across it. Then I distressed the whole piece of card with memento red dew drop ink. I stamped the snowflake with the same ink and used a My Minds Eye stamp. i mounted this on red card.

I attached a piece of red ribbon down the side. I stamped the baubles with the same ink and the same stamp set. I glittered one of them and added Anitas 3D gloss to the other two.
The sentiment came from a freebie last christmas and the heart and tree are from my stash of bits I bought a while back.
I stamped the bauble on the inside too.

one coloured layer

This is my first attempt at a one layer card in another colour!
The small flower stamps are clarity and the tall ones were free with a magazine.

The sunset and the birds are also Clarity stamps.

Best wishes stamp is from a freebie too!
I based it on the following challenge which I will enter:

May baubles

Morning all!
I made this during the week and couldn't find the challenge I made it from!
But now I have!
I based it on the lovely sketch at always playing with paper

I started by stamping my baubles from My Minds Eye stamp set. I used versa mark and embossed them using Create and Craft Irridescent gold embossing powder, Gold Heat It Up and Silver Heat It Up. Then I stamped my sentiment (again My Minds Eye). I used a rose red versa mark ink for this.

I added some stars from a glitter set from Lidl and sprayed the whole card with gold spray from the pound shop!
Have a lovely day/weekend and thank you for looking! x

up, up and away

This card is a try at doing clouds.
I made the kite out of kraft card and some papers from my stash.
The string si Docrafts.

The sentiment is freehand (bad idea) and the butterfly is a stamped one from stash.
I used some liquid pearls for the blue dots.
I like the layout which was inspired by sketch saturday.

skating away

Hi all!!
Still addicted to Christmas!
My little boy is in bed (with a carrot!!) so I am quickly blogging!
I was inspired by freshly made sketches sketch but I am now not sure how 'fresh' my card is!

The stamp and papers are Marianne designs free witha  magazine a while back.
I have coloured using my promarkers. I have tried to get the illusion of speed-illusion being the appropriate word as I don't know if I've captured it that well! I used my memento ink to stamp the image but dragged it back before I lifted it off the cardstock.
The shiny bit at the bottom is irridescent embossing powder from create and craft.
The 2 stars are from my stash.

pink tissue flower

Good morning everyone!
welcome to my new followers!
I have had the loveliest bank holiday weekend and to top it all I won a prize at little k smith's crafty corner blog. She has a wonderful blog and some fab ideas-check it out! I am looking forward to trying LOTV stamps and getting on with my christmas cards!
Now onto todays card.
I have made this card as an experiment with some tissue paper.
I stamped the flowers onto the tissue paper using my Sheena Douglass little bit sketchy stamps in black Archival ink.

I have coloured using promarkers and Docrafts pens.
Then I glued them together and added a Docrafts diamante to the centre.

The pink in the background is a piece of vellum from my stash, and the sentiment from Inkwell stamps
Enjoy your day crafters-I have a day off work toay all to myself as my little boy is at nursery!!I will be crafting all day-maybe a bit of house work in between! x

snow and reindeers

Hi all!! welcome to my new follower! that's 4 now!!
I am still in the christmas spirit and am enjoying doing these!

I have used memento dew drop ink pads for stamping the My Minds Eye snowflakes.
I embossed the reindeer using versamark ink and blue denim Debbie Moore embossing powder.
The sentiment is also My Minds Eye.

I made the penent and added it to a piece of dark blue card. It was missing something and the reindeer wouldn't look right so I thought of my acetate with snow on!
I attached it to the left ahdn side of the card rather than the top as it would contribute to the card collapsing as it is a landscape one!
