christmas bears

Hi everybody! It's the weekend again!! And I am doing my last blog before a weekend away at my mums! thankfully she crafts too so I will still be able to get my fix!
I am still on christmas-probably will be forever!!
I saw the sketch from sketch n stash and knew I had to use this bear stamp!
I have been practicing my colouring for a few weeks now (you will see several of this stamp!). I like the traditional red and green.
The stamp is from Lili of the Valley and is one I won on a giveaway!!

I coloured using pro markers. I then added some Martha stewart glitter stars and some silver glitter glue.
I rounded the corners and matted it onto some green card from Lidl. the ribbons are also Lidl.
The green piece at the top is embossed using a little metal folder from Ellison. i thought it looked a bit snowy like!
The red buttons have been mounted onto some die cuts which came from my spellbinders wrought iron set which can pass off as christmasy.
I mounted another button at the bottom and threaded some twine through and added a tag also from spellbinders.
the stamp is from a farm set of stamps I have.
I liked the clean and simple of putting it onto white card-I think it looks less fussy and makes the stamp the main focus.
Have a great weekend xx
for the as you like it challenge they would like to know what 3 embellishments I have used that are my favourites! these are ribbon, die cuts and glitter stars. I love die cuts as embellishments as they make something a little different. The ribbons are good if I can find one that matches! i especailly like that you can wrap the or tie them. I also like these Martha stewart glitter shapes-i have stars and hearts-love the stars!

spots and stripes

Hi everyone!
another christmas card to keep my momento going!
it's been wonderful weather and we're looking forwward to going to Lincolnshire show this week.
I have ahd some excitement on my blog this week-I had my first ever mention!!! It was on 52 cgristmas card throwdown. I hope it becomes the first of many!
I was also lucky enough to get some freebie stamps from claires crafty corner-so a massive thank you to claire!!
This card was based on lots of challenges! and started off as spots and stripes and gathered steam from there.
I decided to make a bauble shape with acetate instead of just doing a plain circle. It was based on the sketch at merry monday
The papers are from Kanban and are more like card. I used craft card for the bauble background and cut 2 smaller bauble shaped pictures from  a sheet of vintage pictures I had in my stash. I attached a piece of rope to the one babuble and tied a bow. the sentiment is the only decent one I have!! It's from a freebie kit from Marianne designs.
have a great evening!

flaunt what you've got

hi all!!
It's been such a busy weekend! We took our little man to Uncle Henrys in Lincolnshire for open farm sunday! It was good if a little chilly. Enjoyed the tractor rides, the combine and the balloon which he proceeded to squash and then cried when it went 'bang'! He talked to granny on Skype and told her all about the combine!and then came home for a nap and threw up all over the sofa after! So we are now the house of ill!
Anyway onto the card as I'm ahving an early night!
I based this one on the fab sketch at cas(e) this sketch. I really loved the opportunity to use this lovely feather stamp I bought a while back from Hot Of The Press.

I started with a piece of stripey paper whcih I love but it's almost gone now.
I stamped over it using my dew drop ink in canteloupe and an orange colour (I've forgotten the name).
I thought it needed something else so I used my versa mark and embossed some clear embossing powder with gold glitter in. It really made the colour stand out!
Then I stamped a small border along the top of the stripey paper but I didn't like it so much like that so I covered most of it with ribbon from my stash. I actually like how it shows a little above that.

I stamped the 'Flaunt what you've got' sentiment , also from Hot Of The Press, and put it onto a tag made from a Spellbinders die.I threaded the ribbon throughva nd stuck it down.

tractor days

Hi Everyone!! gorgeous day outside!!
I think some of my mojo came back last night!! I made this card for my brother for his birthday.

I have used a 5 x 7" white card and covered it with brown card which I scored the edges of to roughen it.
The blue happy birthday paper is from my stash.
The stamp is Jayne Nestorenko Farm Boy. I loved it as soon as I saw it as my little boy loves tractors!

I have coloured using pro markers and written his name on the number plate with a fine black pen.
I stamped the tracks using a chevron stamp from Docrafts with Pro markers ink as I don't have brown ink. The 'class' bit is because in Northern Ireland if we think something is cool we call it 'class'!
I stamped some tracks inside along with a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment.
Hope you like it! and hope he does too!!

Fathers day

Hi everyone!!
My mojo has not returned as I made this a few weeks ago in time for fathers day!
I have made it on a 5 x 7" card. The stamp is from hot of the press and is totally cool!!!
I stamped using archival black and coloured the red bits with pro markers red. I used Anitas 3D gloss to amke the shine.

The design papers are DCWV onto mirri card. the sentiment is part of a freebie from a magzine and the badge stamp (which is hard to see) is also part of the motorbike set.
The gem is from Docrafts.
I'v also gone round the edge with some blue ink.
I liked how it turned out and then my little boy stuck his finger on the bottom and it was mucky so I had to cover the bottom half with more paper!! It looks good but not as good as this!!
Hope you like it!

red checks for christmas

Hi everyone!
More Christmas cards! I'll have more than I need at this rate!
I'm not feeling the love for making normal cards at the minute-feel like I've lost my moj a bit.
I have had the most fab weekend-I was at my graduation at Ely Cathedral!
I managed to get a 2:1 BA (hons) in social science with environment!
We had such a great time and stayed overnight in Newmarket, spending Sunday in Cambridge wandering around! What was also good was that the little one was with grandma and grandad!
Anyway onto the card!
I have made this based on the sketch at 52 christmas card throwdown

I decided to make it a two piece card (not sure what you call this shape!).
I used some papers I got from a magazine last year as a background.
The circle with the sentiment on along with the silver die cuts snowflakes came from my stash-they have been there for eons!!

I used a X cut punch and punched along some stripey paper, also magazine freebie, and added a strip of Kanban card beside it.
On top I made a panel with silver mirri and on white card I stamped snowflakes and silver 'Noel' sentiment.
I ahve finished it off with some sequins courtesy of the pound shop!
hope you're all well and I hope to have an everyday card soon!
