Tuesday Throwdown Design Team post!

Oh my goodness Christmas is nearly here!! This is my last post this year for Tuesday Throwdown .
And it's a fab challenge-especiallly if you get some Christmas goodies and want to give them a go!!
Anything Goes!!
So just make anything!

My image is christmas stocking from crafty girl-you can find the image here on Stitchy bear stamps!

I have paper pieced the stocking! If you're not sure how to do this then just print the image onto white and then onto your coloured paper of choice. Cut out the pieces you want to be patterned and then stick them over your white image. Colour in the white parts that are left and that's it!! really simple but effective.

I have added a blinged up piece of holly die cut from mirri card, and stamped Nana across the top!
hope you like it!
Thank for any comments you may make.

My first C.R.A.F.T. challenge post! It's a sketch

Hi all!
Exciting-my first post with the CRAFT team!
We have a sketch for you which is fab!

I have used an image from Pickled pot pourri called Nature's Greetings Deer-he is just majestic! I love him!
I have improvised on the sketch a bit but you can follow it as closely as you like as long as we can see it's the sketch!

I thought he was ideal for a man card. When I cut the memory box snowflake I was going to use the flake but I liked the piece that was left over instead! I have added some candi and stamped a sentiment and embossed it in gold. I have used distress ink in a mix of walnut stain and vintage photo to colour in Mr deer! Ribbon from my stash and distressed with vintage photo.

The prizes for the challenge are from flonzcraftPickled pot pourriyours or mine papercraft and for top 3 Karens doodles. So there are loads of chances of an amazing prize!!

This one is from Creative Card Crew! The challenge is Birthday with sentiment-so show us your birthday cards!

The sponsor is delicious doodles who are giving away 4 digi images to one lucky winner! The other winner will receive a surprise from Mariannes designs.

I have used Kraft card and added some gingham card on top. The doily is a die from Tattered Lace-the card is from Kanban, as are the flowers which came out of the center of the die! I have covered the strawberries with some Anitas 3D gloss but it's hard to catch it on a picture!

Thank you for looking and any comments you may make!
Looking forward to your makes!!

Creative Card Crew challenge post-Stripes

Hi all!! Hope this finds you well.

We have a new challenge at Creative Card Crew-we want to see your stripes! At christmas there are plenty of options for this one-socks, hats, scarves or candy canes! You could use images of tigers too-as long as there's stripes somewhere!

we are sponsored by QKR stampede who are giving away 5 digi images to the winner. there is also another prize for someone from Dies are Us.

On to my card. I have used the 'stockings hung' image from QKR stampede and paper pieced it onto stripey paper.

I thought I would use this to make a little living room scene behind an acetate window that I had in my stash.
The image stamped at the front is from Little Claire. I added some glitter to add some sparkle.
Hope you like it and thank you for any comments you may make.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well.

I have another christmas card today for the design team post. The theme is 'BOWS' at Creative Card Crew. The prize is from Dies R us- a $10 voucher. We were sponsored by the gorgeous Lacy sunshine. My imge is called Holly and was a joy to colour! This is my second attempt-it definately worked better for me as a bigger image and that's how I came to make one of my first 8 x 8 cards! Must admit i loved it but the postage on these things would be way too much!!

My papers are DCWV and the shimmery card is from Create and Craft. I have coloured using pro markers, and added a bauble stamped from a freebie and heat embossed.

Wednesday, 8 October 2014

Hi all!
Just watched the Great British Bake Off-well done Nancy bringing it home to Lincolnshire!Although I have to say that the showstoppers were not up to previous years standards. Mind you I wouldn't mind tasting them just to see!

I have made a card using a Little Claire club set from a couple of months ago.
I stamped the square set 3 times then masked off the bottom and stamped the top row 3 times. Then I stamped it onto a seperate piece of card and layered it up in the middle set.
I added a yellow gross grain ribbon along the middle and used a Sizzix die cut to stamp a sentiment on. It has been coloured with promarkers.
Hope you like it!

I am going to enter this into the design team call for C.R.A.F.T here.
I am already on one and enjoy the challenge so it would be great to have another to get my teeth into!
I have experience and also a wide range of crafting tastes/styles. I like clean and simple, am starting to do CD crafting and also love to colour with pens. I like stamping mostly and if I see something on a blog or pinterest that inspires me then I will give it a go straight away!In blogging my new finds then I am sharing my cards and ideas with others which hopefully inspires them-this is what crafting is all about!
If you're reading this and think you could give it a go then check out the link here and try it too!!

I am also entering this card in the little claire   september monthly challenge!

This is my second card made using the Hunkydory beach set-I still have more toppers left so this won't be the last of it!

The flower was a freebie from a mgazine which I wet, scrunched up and left to dry. When dry I layered it up.

Hi all!!
I have made a card that is not for the design team! As I have been on maternity leave I have been adding to my stash especially on the christmas card front! I like to be ahead and prepared!!
Not long left now until the baby comes so sadly I might not get crafting as much for a bit.
It was my birthday yesterday and I got some new craft bits!! Exciting!

My latest card is a cheat really-I don't always do sticking things on but that's how it goes when you're having a bit of a clear out! Trying to use the 'bit box' up!!

It's from a Hunkydory sheet. The stripes are done with poppy pro markers and I have stuck some Kraftcards candi on.

Creative Card Crew DT post-challenge 60-Girlie

Hi all!!
Hope you are all well!
I am doing ok-been really busy-too busy to go in my new craft room!! It is finally finished-apart from curtains (but I don't need those to craft!)
It is really lovely to have all my bits and pieces in the one place and with a new table to work at thats just for me!

I have made a card for the Creative Card Crew challenge-girlie. The prizes are from The Scrapping Centre and A Day for Daisies.
I am not great with girlie things but I thought flowers are always girlie so I paper pieced this gorgeous little cat from A day for Daisies digi using some freebie paper in my stash.

I have used some white webbing stuff sent by my mum and I used a Katy Sue flower stamp to create a small border.
The flowers and brad are from Docrafts.
I'm not sure where the sentiment is from, and the lace is from the market!!
I coloured the chair with promarkers.

Thank you for any comments you may leave!

spring time flapper DT card

Hi everyone! hope you are well.
We have had some fab weather here in Lincoln! sunshine and no rain. makes me feel like summer is coming at last!
We are just finishing off our new extension-well Pete is finishing it and I am supervising form the sofa (pregnancy has advantages after all)!! My new craft room is going to be the first room to be completed hopefully!!

At Creative Card Crew it is challenge time again-this time the theme is Spring.
The prize is from Marieanne Designs and Lacey Sunshine
I have used an image from Lacey Sunshine called Eleanor 1920's flapper and I have created a folding pop up box!

I don't have much in the way of 1920's papers or embellishments but I found a Debbie Moore Cd with Art Deco. I used some gold mirri card as a background and covered it with the art deco papers.

The umbrella is a die from memory box as are the forget me not stems which you can just see at the back.
I have embossed in gold onto the grey card and added some Docrafts gems. the feathers are from my stash.

As for looking like spring-mmmmm!! I have based my colours on pansys and think the umbrella could be spring like!

I also made a card with a bigger version of the image using embossed gold mirri card and some card from my stash.

hope you like it-thank you for any comments you may make.
